NFI Massachusetts is Hiring a Fee for Service Clinician Near Haverhill, MA

NFI Massachusetts Inc., a private non-profit human service organization, is currently seeking a per diem Fee for Service Clinician for its Outpatient Clinic, located in Haverhill MA. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s Degree in a relevant field with experience. Hours are flexible and Treatment can be provided at our outpatient clinic or through telehealth from home or the clinic.

Working for a not for profit means clinicians can apply for federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness programs. 

The mission of the Ambulatory Services Clinic is to provide the highest quality mental health and substance use treatment and prevention to our consumers. We accomplish this by serving all with dignity and respect in an environment that supports individuals and families in their personal development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the intake process for new referrals. Assess client and secure information such as medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to client’s situation; evaluate client’s capacities.
  • Provide individual, group and family treatment as required by each client’s treatment plan and needs.
  • Counsel client individually, in family, or in other small groups regarding plans for meeting needs, and aid client to mobilize inner capacities and environmental resources to improve social functioning.
  • Develop and write individual treatment plans and clinical progress notes in cooperation with consumer, program staff, client’s family, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Maintain appropriate contact with collaterals of client’s treatment team either through phone, email or in person.
  • Attend monthly clinical staff meetings.
  • Assists client to modify patterns of behavior by increasing understanding of self, personal problems, and client’s part in creating them.
  • Advocate for client’s needs within the program as well as with external agencies and service providers.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation which meets internal agency, funding agency, and other governmental regulations.
  • Review service plan and perform follow-up to determine status, quantity and quality of service provided to client.
  • Act as liaison with outside service providers such as school, psychiatrist, and referring agency.
  • Consult with supervisor regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and program therapeutic milieu.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills.
  • Flexible schedule

Salary: Compensation is based on the services provided and level of licensure.
